Personal Care Assistants/Certified Nursing Assistants:

At Golden Home Services we truly believe in the benefits of Hospice Care. We, as a homecare company, are not trying to duplicate Hospice services but rather enhance the end of life stage. Our highly trained Hospice Support Staff are experienced to aid in the challenges that come with the end stage of life. We simply implement our services and work alongside any Hospice Company. Golden Home Services works closely with many Hospice companies throughout Georgia.

We can provide 1 to 24 for hours of care at a client's home or within an in-patient Hospice facility. Like Hospice, Golden Home Services is available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. We are available to speak with family members, consult with Hospice, or support our caregivers in the field.

Hospice Support Care encompasses personal care, comfort care, and companionship services. Our specially trained caregivers also can lend a hand, along side Hospice, in the bereavement process.

Five Stages of Grief:

Dr. Elisabeth Kübler-Ross developed the following stages of grief, which are commonly referred to as the "Grief Cycle" in the 1960s. This model is based on an assessment of people who are dying but can be used with many different circumstances as well.

1. Denial
We may deny the loss that has taken place. The loss might not even be acknowledged.

2. Anger
The person who experienced the loss may be mad at the world, mad at the person (even if they have died), or mad at themselves for allowing the loss to happen. Often times, the person is not realistic about this, but nothing could have been done to prevent the loss.

3. Bargaining
Attempted negotiations take place after the loss by the person who experienced the loss. "If I do this, will the loss go away?"

4. Depression
This is often expressed by overwhelming feelings of despair, frustration, resentment, self pity and mourning. Feelings of numbness and suicidal thoughts may even be experienced.

5. Acceptance
The person simply accepts the reality of the loss. By the time the person who experienced the loss gets to this stage they may have rallied between all stages perhaps even more than once.
Golden Home Services is licensed to accommodate and service the entire State of Georgia; including but not limited to the following counties: Fulton, Forsyth, Gwinnett, Duluth, Hall, Henry, Pickens, Fayette, Douglas, Dekalb, Cobb, Cherokee and Clayton
